The Butcher Recalls Sitting Down With Arn Anderson, Says He Wishes He Could Still Wrestle
The Butcher talks Arn Anderson.
All Elite Wrestling’s backstage roster is full of past stars such as Jerry Lynn, Arn Anderson, Jimmy Jacobs, Chris Hero, and Billy Gunn. These wrestlers will often be praised for helping out in a number of ways backstage, whether that be talking to younger performers or putting together matches.
In a new interview with Sam Roberts, The Butcher recalled sitting down with Arn Anderson for the first time. Butcher noted that Anderson was very helpful and that he touched on the little things.
“The first time I sat with Arn, you can see in his eyes he still wants to wrestle. I asked him like a simple question about shining someone up, but still looking big and tough. That’s the thing I was having the most trouble with, shining up a babyface and still looking like a killer. I was doing this weird thing where I would just cower and look smaller. Arn broke these things down for me, he pulled out his phone and pretended it was a ring. He’s just showing me little things to do and it was just cool to see him take interest in that.”
A number of performers in All Elite Wrestling have credited Arn Anderson for his help over the years.
