Bushiroad Director Would Welcome Kairi Sane And Io Shirai Back In Stardom

Bushiroad Director wants current WWE stars back.

Takaaki Kidani, the director of Bushiroad, recently spoke to Tokyo Sports about Bushiroad’s purchase of Stardom. In the interview, Kidani revealed he would welcome back Kairi Sane and Io Shirai to the company once their WWE contracts expire.

“I will prepare the stage, so I’d like you to come back. Of course (multiple years with the WWE), it is a story after the contract is over, but I would like to show you coming back as an option. We are considering making a return offer,” he said.

Sane wrestled in Stardom until 2017 when she signed with WWE for the Mae Young Classic. Shirai joined Sane in WWE a year later. It is unknown when the WWE contracts of Sane and Shirai expire. Sane is currently one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Asuka while Shirai is a major player on the NXT brand.

Elsewhere in the interview, Kidani discussed the possibility of creating an IWGP Women’s Championship, but says it is up to Nippon Pro.

Bushiroad, the parent company of NJPW, will officially take command of Stardom on Dec. 1
