Bully Ray Tweets Support To Impact Locker Room Amidst More Changes
Impact Wrestling underwent another change this week when they officially severed ties with Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling. It was a change most saw coming ever since Jarrett took a leave of absence from the company back in early September.
While many in the Impact locker room have been through this ringer before, it doesn’t make things any better for morale. That’s when a veteran needs to step in.
Former TNA World Champion Bully Ray played the role of that veteran.
The 2014 TNA Hall of Fame inductee speaks from experience. Bully Ray joined TNA in 2005 under the name Brother Ray and remained with the company until 2014, transforming himself into Bully Ray along the way.
During that time, TNA switched timeslots on SpikeTV multiple times, ushered in the Eric Bischoff-Hulk Hogan era, tried to kick-off the new Monday Night Wars, and saw the departures of mainstays like AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Chris Sabin, Kazarian, and Christopher Daniels.
Despite the changes, the company survived thanks in large part to the wrestlers always showing up to perform.
After leaving TNA, Ray returned to WWE for a one-year stint, reprising the Dudley Boys. He’s now in Ring of Honor working once again as Bully Ray.
