Buddy Murphy: I Believe That Paul Heyman Believes I Can Be A Megastar

With Paul Heyman being a part of Raw behind the scenes, Buddy Murphy believes he can thrive as a superstar on WWE’s red brand.

Ever since Murphy was drafted to Raw in the 2019 WWE Draft, he has been highlighted in key matches against Aleister Black and more recently, got added to Seth Rollins‘s new stable. In the months that he has been wrestling on Raw, Murphy spoke highly of Heyman, saying he has a lot of belief in the former Cruiserweight champion.

“Paul has been awesome to work with. He has a lot of belief in me and I don’t want to let him down. The Aleister Black performances and what not, I want the ball and I want to run with it. I believe – and Paul believes – I can be a megastar for this company,” Murphy told takSPORT.

Although he has been a part of some well-received matches as of late, Murphy wanted to be involved in a storyline he can “sink his teeth into.” Being Rollins’ disciple could be what Murphy is looking for, according to him.

“Once that bells rings, I’ve got that down pat, now I just need a story to sink my teeth into and maybe being Seth’s disciple is it. Paul has been a great influence and he’s been pointing me in the direction and as long as I can keep Paul and Vince [McMahon happy], then I’m happy,” Murphy said.

Murphy currently stands as one-half of the Raw Tag Team Champions alongside Rollins, which is Murphy’s first title reign since leaving 205 Live for both Raw and SmackDown.
