Buddy Murphy Challenges Cedric Alexander For The Cruiserweight Title At Super Show-Down
Another Championship bout has been added to WWE Super Show-Down in Australia.
WWE announced that Cedric Alexander will put his Cruiserweight Title on the line against Australia’s own Buddy Murphy.
The last time Alexander and Murphy battled, they did so in Alexander’s homestate of North Carolina in May. Alexander picked up the victory on that night after an excellent back-and-forth bout. Murphy will look for revenge and his first gold in the company in the rematch.
Alexander recently retained his Cruiserweight title against Drew Gulak at SummerSlam. This past Tuesday on 205 Live, Murphy scored a win over former Cruiserweight Champion Kalisto. Alexander has been the champion since WrestleMania 34 when he defeated Mustafa Ali for the vacant title in the Finals of a tournament.
WWE Super Show-Down takes place on Oct. 6 from the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Fightful will provide full coverage of the event.
