Bruce Prichard Speaks Out On His Raw 25 Appearance
Everyone had a fun time at Raw 25 last week — including Bruce Prichard.
Speaking to ABC Action News 6 in Philadelphia, Prichard spoke out about being part of the event. Leaving the promotion in late 2008, some were surprised that WWE would make the call to bring him back. For Prichard, he was just happy to be back and was excited to see a lot of familiar faces.
Returning to Raw 25 after all these years of being gone, I haven't been there since 2009 really. I left December of 2008, but to be able to able to portray Brother Loved one more time was absolutely thrilling so I'd be lying to you if I said I wasn't excited. I had a blast. It was terrific to see everybody. I kind of ended up hanging out with old friends like Teddy Long and Ron Simmons and the Godfather, John Layfield, Eric Bischoff. It was exciting to just see everybody and I think that that was the most fun to reconnect with guys like John Cena and to meet some of the the new Superstars which was pretty cool.
When asked if he ran across Vince McMahon, he said that in fact, he did. It was a quick hello, but he also got to talk to Shane and Stephanie as well.
I did get to say hello to Vince. I saw Vince right before he went out to start
Monday Night Raw in the hallway and it was a short 'Hello. Have fun.' And at the very end, I thanked him and gave him a hug and that was it. Spoke to [Vince's children] Stephanie and Shane, as well, and it was great to reconnect with both of them. So all in all, it was an exciting day, a great night, a lot of history made, and, in a word, I had a blast, so it was it was an awful lot of fun.
Since leaving the WWE, Prichard has launched a successful podcast called Something To Wrestle With. He was also briefly in an authority figure role for Impact in between regime changes last year.
