Bruce Prichard Says He And Vince McMahon Wrote TV At Stephanie’s High School Basketball Games

A note from Prichard.

Since the 1980’s, Vince McMahon has been at the helm of everything having to do with World Wrestling Entertainment since taking the company over from his father. Vince has transformed the then-WWF into a billion dollar company and one of the most recognizable company’s in the world. McMahon, along with the group of writers, producers and agents he has had over the years have brought forth some of the most legendary characters that wrestling fans hold in high regards whether they are from the past or present. The ideas for storylines, characters and the next steps to elevate the company were created in places other than a board room or at a venue as it is well-known that the creative team would sometimes meet up in Vince McMahon’s backyard.

Another location that creative ideas would flow at is Stephanie McMahon’s high-school basketball games. The latest edition of former WWE creative writer Bruce Prichard’s ‘Something To Wrestle’ podcast was focused on the relationship and marriage of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Before Prichard and his host Conrad Thompson dove deeper into the subject, he discussed how he and Vince would go to Stephanie’s basketball games and when she wasn’t on the court, they would come up with ideas for TV.

“But Vince and I man, when she was in high school, we used to go to her high school basketball games, and we would sit in the stands in the bleachers with our books and we would book and write TV and stuff until Stephanie got on the court and played and we would look up and watch her play and then go back to working.” Prichard shared.

Stephanie McMahon has been in a variety of roles in WWE but she is now looked at as one of spearheads for verbally pushing the women’s revolution forward. Stephanie recently did an interview and spoke about the word “Evolution” and what it means to WWE and to read that interview, click here.
