Bruce Prichard Said Sherri Martel Once Dragged Sapphire To The Shower To Give Her A Bath

During their time together on the road, Sherri Martel and Sapphire shared some interesting moments, including one where Martel was forced to give Sapphire a shower.

During a recent episode of “Something To Wrestle With,” Bruce Prichard told a story from back in the WWF days where both Martel and Sapphire were in. Prichard revealed that there was a time where Sapphire would not shower in the arena or wash her ring gear, something that bothered Martel as the two traveled together.

On one instance, Martel was so sick and tired of Sapphire not washing herself or her gear, that she took it upon herself to drag Sapphire into a shower and give her a bath.

“There was a period where the stuff that Sapphire wore, she wore every night. So they would wrestle every night and [Sapphire] wouldn’t shower. Sherri and [Sapphire] would travel together and Sherri told her, ‘Hey, you gotta wash your gear, you gotta wash your clothes and you need to bathe.’ I think Sapphire was just self conscious about taking a shower at the arena in front of Sherri. That’s the only thing that we could think of. I remember [Miss Elizabeth] trying to mediate that. She asked me to mediate it. Sherri took it upon herself and said, ‘You’re not going to shower? I’m taking you to the shower.’ Sherri dragged her into the shower, turned the shower on and proceeded to help her bathe,” Prichard said.

Prichard then spoke how Elizabeth went to him and Randy Savage backstage to try and get them to stop Martel. Prichard said there wasn’t anything he or Savage could do about the matter. Regardless, the matter was eventually resolved.

“[Blackjack] Lanza, who was the agent, went in and calmed things down. Everything was good. They got into the car that night and everything was fine. [Sapphire] got new gear and washed her gear from that point,” Prichard said.
