Here’s your Fight Size update following WWE NXT on February 21, 2023.

NXT Champion Bron Breakker defended the title against Jinder Mahal. The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) attacked Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan & Sanga) to stop them from interfering. Breakker retained the title, but his celebration was cu off when Grayson Waller hijacked the broadcast and invited Shawn Michaels to appear on the Grayson Waller Effect at NXT Roadblock.

– Jacy Jayne looked to gain more momentum when she faced Indi Hartwell. Instead, her former Toxic Attraction partner Gigi Dolin attacked her, so Jayne won the match via disqualification. 

Meiko Satomura trained some students, and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez asked to join. Perez toughed it out, as she was the last student standing after some rigorous training. They kept training later in the show. Satomura gave Perez a thumbs up in an apparent sign of respect.

Chase U (Andre Chase & Andre Chase) faced The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler), but they came up short. Thea Hail was still shaken up after Schism abducted her, and she inadvertently distracted Hudson, which allowed The Dyad to clinch the victory. After the match, Hudson got frustrated and said Hail needed to grow up.

– In an interview, Nikkita Lyons discussed her injury and noted that she hopes to return within a year. Tiffany Stratton interrupted and said she’s the center of the universe. Stratton told Lyons she should disappear for a full year.

– Tony D’Angelo confronted Von Wagner and goaded him into a match. They faced off, and Wagner overpowered “he Don of NXT.” Stone distracted Wagner by trying to offer him some advice. D’Angelo rallied and pinned Wagner. The powerhouse argued with Robert Stone after the match. D’Angelo praised Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo’s loyalty. He then said it’s time to end his feud with Dijak, and he challenged Dijak to a Jailhouse Street Fight at NXT Road Block.

– Fallon Henley called Brooks Jensen and apologized for his foiled Valentine’s Day date. Josh Briggs told Henley she was wrong. She agreed and said she’d apologize in person. Henley then said she’s sorry to James, who accepted the apology. She said Henley was jealous, but Fallon shot that idea down. They agreed to be partners.

– Tyler Bate came to the ring and discussed his move to NXT in America. He thanked the fans for their support. Bate stated that he and NXT are about to embark on a mystical journey, but Schism (Joe Gacy, Ava Raine, Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) interrupted him. Joe Gacy said they were kindred spirits, but Bate turned him down. Gacy noted that the journey matters, but he warned Bate that the fans won’t help him. Gacy told Bate to heed their message. They entered the ring, but Chase U (Andre Chase & Duke Hudson) made the save.

– Malik Blade and Edris Enofe took on NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) in a non-title match. Two mystery men came to ringside during the bout, and they brought a cake with them. Gallus picked up the decisive victory. The mystery men presented them with the cake and noted that it marked the anniversary of their loss to Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince). Wilson and Prince then attacked Gallus from behind and laid them out. 

– Trick Williams battled Ilja Dragunov. During the bout, JD McDonagh came to ringside and joined the commentary team. In the end, despite a valiant effort from Williams, Dragunov scored the win. He stared McDonagh down after the bell. Later in the show, Tyler Bate offered Williams some advice. Carmelo Hayes said he was glad Bate’s journey didn’t have anything to do with the NXT Championship, as he was chasing the gold.

Drew Gulak said Hank Walker wasn’t his friend. He said Walker was not the best of the best because he was too nice. He stated that you have to be willing to hurt people to make it far, and that’s what Charlie Dempsey is all about.

A video package highlighted Sol Ruca’s athleticism. She made it clear that she intends to beat Zoey Stark.

– Stevie Turner expressed her excitement about WrestleMania season. She debuted her Stevie Randomizer and it landed on Lyra Valkyria. Turner highlighted Valkyria and said she’s no match for her.

– Dabba-Kato stated that Apollo Crews forgot about the past, and he looked back on their journey together. He vowed to take Crews out.- NXT North American Champion Wes Lee looked ahead to the future and announced that he will issue another open challenge next week.

Ivy Nile faced Alba Fyre, and Isla Dawn interfered. Tatum Paxley got bumped off the apron, and Fyre pinned Nile for the win.

– In an interview, Zoey Stark said she was done with Sol Ruca, and she wondered why Meiko Satomura got a title match. She stated that she would show Satomura who the real “final boss” is if they faced off.
