Brodie Lee Passes Away At The Age Of 41

Brodie Lee has passed away at the age of 41.

All Elite Wrestling put out a statement saying Brodie Lee (real name Jon Huber) has passed away.

His wife Amanda put out a statement saying he passed away after a “hard fought battle with a non Covid related lung issue.” Fightful learned that much of the roster knew that Brodie had been battling serious medical issues for several weeks, but kept it quiet out of respect to the family. AEW has had Brodie’s family at multiple recent events, and had one of his sons featured in the crowd of last week’s AEW Dark.

Lee made his debut in 2003 and spent many years on the Independent scene, wrestling for companies such as CHIKARA, ROH, Dragon Gate USA, and more.

In 2012, Lee signed with WWE and went on to become a member of the Wyatt Family under the name of Luke Harper. During his time in WWE, Lee won the NXT Tag Team Championships, SmackDown Tag Team Championships (twice), and Intercontinental Championship.

Lee was released by WWE in December 2019.

He made his debut for AEW in March 2020 when he was revealed as The Exalted One, the leader of the Dark Order. Lee became the second man to ever hold the AEW TNT Championship when he defeated Cody Rhodes on the August 22 AEW Dynamite.

Lee lost the AEW TNT Title to Cody in a Dog Collar match on the October 7 AEW Dynamite. It was the last time he wrestled.

Jon is survived by his wife Amanda and their two children Brodie and Nolan.

On behalf of Fightful, we would like to extend our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Brodie Lee.
