Brock Lesnar Removed From WWE Creative Plans

The latest on Brock Lesnar.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Brock Lesnar has been removed from WWE creative plans moving forward. It is noted that, “There were discussions of having Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther at WrestleMania, as we discussed last week. Those are no longer currently planned.”

John Pollock of POST Wrestling previously reported that Lesnar was originally slated to work with Dominik Mysterio at WWE Elimination Chamber.

Lesnar was reportedly scheduled to return to television at WWE Royal Rumble. Lesnar was reportedly pulled from WWE SuperCard as well.

On January 25, a lawsuit was filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon, WWE and former executive John Laurinaitis. The lawsuit accuses McMahon of sex trafficking, emotional abuse, and sexual assault.

Lesnar was never named in the lawsuit, but there is a reference to “a world-famous athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion with whom WWE was actively trying to sign to a new contract.” The lawsuit alleges that Vince McMahon used Ms. Grant in a sexual manner to keep the athlete under contract with WWE.

McMahon is now under federal investigation.
