Brock Lesnar Confronts The Bloodline On 9/10 WWE SmackDown, Sets Sights On Universal Championship
Brock Lesnar has his sights set on the WWE Universal Championship.
At SummerSlam 2021, Roman Reigns defeated John Cena to retain the Universal Title. After the match, Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE, confronting The Tribal Chief. This was the first time The Beast had been seen on WWE programming since the main event of WrestleMania 36.
On September 10, Lesnar made his first appearance on SmackDown in nearly 2 years. He came face to face with The Bloodline, grabbed the microphone from his longtime advocate, Paul Heyman, and asked why he didn’t tell Roman that he would be at SummerSlam. Paul insisted that he didn’t know, but a disappointed looking Roman stared him down and left him alone in the ring with Brock.
In survival mode, Heyman reverted back to his old self and did his patented Brock Lesnar introduction. The Beast then told Heyman he had 5 seconds to accept a Universal Championship Match on Roman’s behalf. After failing to say yes, Heyman was hoisted onto Lesnar’s shoulders for an F-5, but Roman and The Usos came to his defence. Brock would fight everyone off, standing tall to end the segment.
Backstage, Heyman, seemingly not fired by Roman, said that The Head of the Table would answer Lesnar when he feels like it.
