Britt Baker: Sasha Banks And Bayley Paved The Way For My Generation Of Wrestling
Britt Baker has a couple of dream opponents in mind from WWE.
Baker is at the top of the AEW women’s division as the reigning AEW Women’s Champion and though she has plenty of competition in her current promotion, the top women are not all in one promotion and Baker would love to test herself against two of the best from WWE.
“Probably Bayley or Sasha [Banks], it’d have to be one of them,” Baker said during a panel at Steel City Comic Con. “Those are two of my role models that I watched when I was first training to be a wrestler. That was five years ago. When I was training, they were main eventing NXT TakeOver. That was when the tides were turning and they kind of paved the way for my generation of wrestling. Even though they are still in my generation, they came before me.”
Despite being competing role models, Baker and Bayley have always been complimentary of each other, with Baker previously revealing that Bayley messaged her following her famous Lights Out match against Thunder Rosa. You can find Baker’s full comments about Bayley’s message by clicking here.
As for the NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn match referenced by Baker, Sasha Banks called it the greatest women’s match of all time. You can find her full comments on the bout by clicking here.
