“British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith Officially Announced As 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Inductee

The British Bulldog is officially joining this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class.

On the most recent episode of “After The Bell,” Corey Graves, who was joined by Davey Boy Smith Jr., Tyson Kidd and Natalya, revealed that the latest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame is Davey Boy Smith.

During his time wrestling for the WWF, Smith held a number of titles, including the Intercontinental, European and Tag Team titles. Smith had multiple stints with WWF and in his second stint with the company, he headlined the 1992 edition of SummerSlam, which took place at Wembley Stadium in England. On that show, Smith defeated Bret Hart to win the Intercontinental title.

Throughout his wrestling career, Smith also wrestled for WCW, All Japan Pro Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling. Smith died back in 2002 at the age of 39 years old due to a heart attack he suffered while on vacation in British Columbia.

Smith joins an already star-studded class, which also features Batista, JBL, The Bella Twins and the New World Order’s Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman. The WWE Hall of Fame will take place in Tampa on April 2.
