Brian XL Discusses Being Partners With Amazing Red In HOG, ‘His Mind For Wrestling Is Unlike Anyone’

Brian XL discusses his friendship and partnership with Amazing Red.

House of Glory Wrestling was founded in 2012 by Brian XL and Amazing Red. The two men have been longtime friends and made the decision to work together off-screen to build HOG Wrestling into one of the premier independent promotions.

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, Brian XL reflected on the origin of House of Glory.

“I told Red at the time, ‘You’re name.’ At the time, he was with TNA. I put the money up, and I said, ‘You can be at the forefront of this. I put the money in and we can focus on you, you’re the owner and all that.’ ‘Alright, let’s try it out.’ Once we tried it out, we became partners and he loved it. He ended up walking away from TNA and we’ve been building since. Amazing Red is one of the best wrestlers out there. His mind for wrestling, I’ve been doing this a lot of years and I’ve never met anybody like him. He really knows the business and really knows how to train these kids and prepare them for huge matches. I’ve known Red since he was 12-13 years old. He’s one of my best friends so it worked out perfectly, me and him being partners. I focus on the promotion, he focuses on the school. If I have ideas or need help with something, he’s the first person I go to and he gives me what he thinks is best to do, and that’s what I do,” he said.

Amazing Red will be part of WrestleMania week, representing House of Glory at HOG vs REVOLVER in a dream match against Mustafa Ali.
