Brian Myers: I’m Excited To Team With Eddie Edwards, We’re Working On Matching Gear
Brian Myers discusses his team with Eddie Edwards.
Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards are set to team up at IMPACT Final Resolution to challenge ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) for the IMPACT Tag Team Championships. Myers and Edwards have a long history, including Myers, teaming with Trevor Lee (Cameron Grimes), defeating Edwards, teaming with Davey Richards, to win the TNA Tag Team Titles in 2025.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, Myers was asked about teaming with Edwards.
“To pull back the curtain, Eddie is probably my best friend in TNA right now. We’ve really bonded over the years. We’ve had some incredible matches. I admire him bell-to-bell more than probably anybody on the roster. I think that highly of him. I think he’s one of the best there is. Back then (in 2015), I had met him maybe a couple months before, we were booked on the same tour in the UK and Germany, that’s where I met him. The first time we wrestled was that whole little run there. Everything just clicked and gelled. Him and Davey as a team are so good. They make things so fun and enjoyable. That’s how our relationship started. It’s grown over the years and I know when that graphic came out everyone was going, ‘that’s a weird team, but kind of cool,’ I saw a lot of feedback with that. To me, I couldn’t be more excited. We’re working on matching gear. That’s how excited I am,” said Myers.
Edwards and Myers have been opponents multiple times throughout the years, but Saturday will make the first time they’ve competed as a tag team.
