Brian Myers To Challenge For IMPACT World Championship At IMPACT Emergence 2021
IMPACT has determined the next #1 contender for their World Championship.
After unsuccessful attempts from Moose and Sami Callihan to return the IMPACT World Title back to the promotion, a Battle Royal was announced to crown a new number one contender. The winner would face Kenny Omega at Emergence on August 20.
Before that, however, Omega will have to defend the belt against Christian Cage on the August 13 debut of AEW Rampage.
On August 12, Brian Myers won the 20-Man over-the-top-rope match, last eliminating Moose and Chris Sabin to earn the victory. He seemed to have made a critical error removing Sam Beale from the match while there were still other competitors active, but his plan to play possum in the corner while everyone else beat each other up ended up working.
