Brian Cage Disappointed With Inactive And Injury-Filled IMPACT World Title Run

Brian Cage addresses his injuries.

IMPACT Wrestling fans haven’t seen much of Brian Cage since he won the IMPACT World Title at Rebellion on Apr. 28. He’s wrestled just once on IMPACT since winning the belt, successfully defending the title against Michael Elgin at Slammiversary on July 7. Most weeks, Cage has not appeared on television in a live capacity. Cage suffered a back injury in the Rebellion match against Johnny Impact and has had to limit his schedule as a result.

Taking to Instagram, Cage discussed his inactive IMPACT World Title run and the steps he’s taking to get back on track.

I know many might be upset with my inactive title reign. Trust me, no one is more disappointed than me. Right when I reach the top of the iceberg I’m dealt with nothing but set back after set back due to injury. Everytime I try to push through, I get another set back. This is not the champion I wanted to be. I wanted to be a fighting champion, not a once in a while attraction you’d see else where. And I’ve done everything possible to heal and recover, and in a timely manner. And that’s why I’m in Colombia seeking the world’s best stem cell therapy from @bioxcellerator_. I’m not gonna stop and to quote another machine, “I’ll be back.” #machine #machine2.0 #swolverine #impactwrestling #wolrdchamp #ageofcage #weaponx

Rey Mysterio is also undergoing stem cell therapy to help with various injuries he’s accumulated throughout his career.

It is unknown when Cage will return to IMPACT Wrestling.
