Brandon Williams Discusses GCW vs. New South Event, Says GCW Plans To Return To The Territory

On June 25, Game Changer Wrestling held its GCW vs. New South 2 event from Singin’ River Brewing Company in Florence, Alabama.

The event aired on FITE TV as part of a GCW and New South weekend. GCW has partnered with multiple independent promotions throughout the years, bringing new exposure to different talents in different territories.

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Stephen Jensen on The Spotlight, New South co-promoter Brandon Williams discussed working with GCW and Brett Lauderdale.

“Very good so far,” he said about his relationship with Lauderdale. “Coming into it, I’ve only known of Brett Lauderdale, never met him in person, so I’m always kind of skeptical of people when I meet them. He’s super cool, very professional about how he runs stuff. The Vs. show was great. Being in Florence at that Brewery draws a lot of people there with GCW in town. It’s a good working environment.”

Asked about future shows with GCW, Williams said, “There are plans to come back, I’m not sure exactly when that is, don’t know if that’s at the tail end of the year or possibly again in January or February. They definitely plan on coming back, and hopefully, we get another Vs. show.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Williams discussed finding a streaming home for New South. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
