Brandi Rhodes On Changing Fans’ Views Of Her Own Career: I Got Into Wrestling To Actually Wrestle
Brandi Rhodes wants to keep changing fans’ opinion of her as AEW enters year two of Dynamite.
In an interview with The Wrestling Movement, Rhodes spoke about the perception of her own career and said she wanted to be in the wrestling industry to wrestle and to be on-air. Rhodes said she has been enjoying the things she has been able to do on AEW programming.
“I got into the wrestling industry to be in wrestling to actually wrestle, to manage, to be a part of the on-air team in that way. So it’s something that I had been looking forward to for a very long time, and had known that I was capable of. I just needed the right timing and company and setting – that is what it took for everything to fall together. So it’s been really great. I’ve been enjoying my work with Dynamite and Dark as well, and just continuing to enjoy the ride and take it wherever it needs to go,” Rhodes said.
At first, Rhodes did not wrestle much during AEW’s first year but started to be more active as far as her in-ring career is concerned when she started teaming up with Allie and the two even made it all the way to the AEW Women’s Tag Team Tournament finals, losing to Ivelisse and Diamante.
