Booker T Won’t Return Full-Time, Says He Has Nothing Left To Prove

Booker T may have returned to the ring at Reality of Wrestling on Feb. 8, but don’t expect him to make a full-time run.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Booker T says he won’t work the WWE schedule at this point in his career.

“I don’t wish to ever wrestle a WWE schedule again,” said Booker. “Those days are far past me. My body feels good, but I don’t have anything to prove in the wrestling ring, unlike Edge, who just came back. Edge didn’t leave on his own terms. He left because of a neck injury, which wasn’t the way he wanted to go out. We want to go out the way we want to go out.

“I pretty much did everything I possibly could for the WWE and every other organization I could possibly be a part of. I’m still having so much fun in this current wave, working for Fox, working for ESPN, working for WWE, and having my own wrestling company. Life is great, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Booker, 54, teased the idea of being in the Royal Rumble or working with Stevie Ray against The Revival since the event took place in Houston. Instead, Booker worked as a commentator for the event. He can currently be heard on his Hall of Fame podcast and be seen on WWE Backstage as a regular co-host alongside Renee Young.
