Booker T: I’d Love To See Bron Breakker Stay In NXT, But He’s Ready For The Main Roster
Booker T says Bron Breakker is ready for the main roster.
Booker T would like to see Bron Breakker stay in NXT, but he says he’s ready for the main roster.
Bron Breakker competed in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, and he later signed with WWE SmackDown. Meanwhile, he has remained active on WWE NXT. He and Baron Corbin won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and went on to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship. The duo defended the gold against Axiom and Nathan Frazer at NXT Stand & Deliver.
Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast with Booker T and Brad Gilmore, the NXT commentator shared his thoughts on NXT Stand & Deliver. In one highlight, he discussed the tag team title match.
“Nathan Frazer and Axiom, they brought it, man. They brought it. They didn’t look out of place at all. These guys definitely truly looked like they belonged in that ring. Baron Corbin, I feel like he’s doing some of his best work. Then to add Bron Breakker to that mix, someone who’s already been drafted to the main roster but is still patient enough to want to finish this thing, and finish it properly. So what a match,” Booker T said.
Gilmore then noted that Breakker seemed like he was ready for the main roster and asked Booker if he agreed or wanted to see Bron stay in NXT. He stated that he would love to see Breakker stay but expressed his belief that he was ready for the main roster.
“Man, I’d love to see him stay in NXT for a little while longer, but like you said, I feel like he’s ready for the main roster as well. It’s kind of torn between the two. But I do feel like he’s main-roster ready, but the work that he’s doing in NXT right now is some of his best work, it really is. His comfort level right now, he seems like he is so comfortable performing in the middle of that ring and going out there and doing the stuff off the top rope, Frankensteiners and whatnot. I’m like, man, this kid is evolving. He’s maturing right before our very eyes. So would I want to see him stay? Of course. But would I be sad to see him go? Of course not. These guys, they gotta shine. They gotta move on,” Booker T said.
In December 2023, Booker T stated that he would hope to keep Breakker in NXT for one more year. Check out his comments here.
Breakker and Corbin will defend the titles in a rematch against Axiom and Frazer on the April 9 episode of WWE NXT. Fightful will have coverage of the show as it airs on April 9.
