Here is your fight size update following AEW Dynamite on April 26.

Here is your fight size update following AEW Dynamite on April 26.

– Konosuke Takeshita and Kenny Omega defeated The Butcher and The Blade. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, ad Wheeler Yuta) attacked the duo after the bell. Matt and Nick Jackson made the save, but they lost the advantage when Takeshita stopped Omega from using a screwdriver. Moxley then drove the screwdriver into Takeshita’s head. As a result, Takeshita was busted open.

– Orange Cassidy defeated Bandido to retain the AEW International Championship. With the win, Cassidy scored his twentieth defense.

– Jade Cargill beat Taya Valkyrie to retain the TBS Championship, with the win wasn’t without controversy. Valkyrie was unable to use her Road to Valhalla finisher; if she did, she would be disqualified. Valkyrie went for the finisher, but she thought better of it, and Cargill took advantage of the situation by rolling her up for the win. Frustrated, Valkyrie lashed out at Leila Grey. She even went to slam referee Aubrey Edwards, but other officials got involved.

– Adam Cole called out Chris Jericho, and the Jericho Appreciation Society (Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, and Jake Hager). Orange Cassidy and Bandido tried to help, but the J.A.S. beat them up until the debuting Roderick Strong evened the odds. He then hugged Cole.

– AEW World Champion MJF helped Sammy Guevara defeat Darby Allin in a Four Pillars Tournament match, as he made it look like Allin hit Guevara with a chair, and the referee disqualified him. After the bell, Guevara was announced as MJF’s opponent at AEW Double or Nothing. Tony Schiavone then announced that, on the May 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, Guevara and MJF will face Allin and “Jungle Boy” Perry. With a win, Perry and Allin will earn spots in the world title match at AEW Double or Nothing.

Tony Khan announced that the Opening Ceremonies for the 2023 Owen Hart Cup will be held at AEW Double or Nothing, and the tournament will conclude on July 15.
