Billy Gunn: The WWE Hall Of Fame Celebrates Things In Wrestling, Not Stuff Outside Of It

Billy Gunn is happy Chyna is going into the Hall.

Earlier this week, WWE announced that D-Generation X would be inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the 2019 class. The group inducted into the Hall of Fame will include Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, and Chyna.

Speaking to Busted Open Radio, Gunn shared his thoughts on Chyna finally going into the WWE Hall of Fame.

“That was the most exciting thing about this whole thing. It was a huge relief (when I found out Chyna was going in). I’ve always said she needed to go in,” said Gunn. “What goes on outside of wrestling is what goes on outside of wrestling. It has nothing to do with the fact that she was a huge impact in wrestling. That’s what this is recognizing. It’s not recognizing that I was once an addict or that I’m not a good person. It has nothing to do with that. Let’s not look at the negative side of this, let’s look at the positive side that she’s going in. She’s going with the group that put her on the map and one of the most iconic and influential groups of all-time.”

Chyna’s mom Jan LaQue stated she is “thrilled” over her daughter’s induction. X-Pac recently spoke to TMZ and stated he believes Chyna would be grateful that she would be going into the Hall of Fame with DX.
