Deadline reports that, as announced by Brian Volk-Weiss’ Nacelle Company, “Billy Corgan‘s Adventures in Carnyland” will premiere on The CW app and cwtv.com on May 14th. The eight-episode unscripted series is directed by Volk-Weis and Ian Roumain.
The series is set to highlight NWA President and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan’s lifestyle as a rockstar and a wrestling promoter. Plus, it will focus on the process of Corgan planning his wedding to Chloe Mendel. The series is executive produced by Volk-Weis and Ian Roumain, alongside Corgan, Mendel, Cisco Henson, and Benjamin J. Frost, and Nacelle is the producer.
Corgan commented on his work with the NWA while speaking with Deadline.
“Rebuilding the historic NWA brand has been both an honor and challenge, and this show opens the doors wide so to speak. To reveal the glory and the grit needed to thrive in a winner-take-all sport. It’s not always pretty, but I’m proud of what we have accomplished thus far,” Corgan said.
Nacelle Company founder and CEO Volk-Weiss added, “Getting to work with Chloe and Billy has been one of the highlights of my career, and I will be eternally grateful for letting us into their lives and businesses (which I know the world will enjoy watching).”
The Nacelle Company has produced Emmy-winning docuseries, such as “Down To Earth with Zac Efron”. It has also produced “The Movies That Made Us”, “The Toys That Made Us”, and more.
As previously announced, Billy Corgan is set to host a podcast about UFOs and conspiracy theories with Fred Durst. More information is available here.
