Big Show Would Love To Team With Shaq, Says Shaq Still Wants A Singles Match

The Big Show vs. Shaq has become something of a white whale in professional wrestling. The two have teased a match for years, but the only time they’ve been face to face in the ring for a match was during the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32.

It’s unknown if Shaq will ever step foot in a WWE ring again, but Big Show revealed to Steve Austin on Broken Skull Sessions that he talked with Shaq about a match as recently as Super Bowl weekend.

“I saw Shaq down in Miami for the Super Bowl. It was a tough time because of everything that happened with Kobe. But I gave him a big hug. One of his oldest sons is a huge wrestling fan, The Model, I said, ‘You don’t give him a hard time for being a model do you?’ He goes, ‘everyday.’ Shaq goes, ‘We can still have that match.’ Yeah, maybe, we’ll see. Shaq is always so busy. A lot of it is trying to find the time to put it together. I think it’d be entertaining. It’d be a lot of work on my part but I’d make him look good and get the match over. I would love to do it as a tag so we could have some bump partners,” he said.

Big Show returned to the ring after 14 months away this past January as a surprise partner for Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. His return was rather short-lived as he wrestled just twice before being off television again.

Elsewhere in the interview, Big Show discussed being undefeated in arm wrestling. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
