Big Show Named Global Ambassador For Special Olympics
Big news for the Big Show.
Today, the Special Olympics announced that the Big Show will be their Global Ambassador. The WWE superstar will help the Special Olympics as they push towards ending intolerance against those with intellectual disabilities.
Speaking to WWE.com, Big Show said, “At every event, it is a joy to see Special Olympics athletes’ enthusiasm, courage, determination and sportsmanship as they are an inspiration to me and to all the WWE Superstars. They motivate us to work harder and above all, to have fun while doing so. To be able to work with individuals who inspire everyone by their dedication and perseverance is an amazing testament to the human spirit. They have big dreams and I am honored to, in a small way, help those dreams become a reality.”
Big Show has been involved with the Special Olympics since 2014, where he took part in the Opening Ceremony. He was named WWE Goodwill Ambassador and co-captained the Special Olympics Unified Relay Across America in 2015.
The former WWE Champion has been off television since September 2017 due to hip surgery. He recently stated that he would like to return as soon as Raw after SummerSlam.
