Big Show Confirms That WrestleMania 33 Will Be His Last
According to the Big Show, WrestleMania 33 will be his final WrestleMania.
In an appearance on The Jim Norton and Sam Roberts Sirius Radio Show, Show confirmed that this would be the final time he would be competing at WrestleMania. He said his WWE contract will expire in early 2018 before WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
Show had been wrestling since 1995 when he started wrestling for WCW as The Giant. He soon started a feud with Hulk Hogan and has won many titles in his long career, including the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice, the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship twice each in WWE.
He is the 24th WWE Triple Crown Champion (winning a world title, tag team title and secondary titles of one promotion) and the 12th WWE Grand Slam Champion (winning the WWE, WWE Tag Team, Intercontinental and United States titles in the current format).
Show’s final WrestleMania match will be in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which he won in 2015 at WrestleMania 31.
The 45-year-old was originally set to face off against Shaquille O’Neal, but the match fell through and Show announced that he would be competing in the Battle Royal weeks before WrestleMania 33.
