Big E Doesn’t Know White Ish; Very Familiar With ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’

Big E put his white pop culture knowledge to the test.

The WWE Champion recently joined Peter Rosenberg, Ebro and Laura Stylez on Hot 97, where he took part in their brand new segment, ‘You Don’t Know White Ish Wednesdays.’ The point? To see whether or not he knows some of the biggest songs in pop culture history.

Things started off well for Big E as he correctly identified Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ and then The Eagles’ ‘Hotel California.’ Next up was Aerosmith’s ‘Dude (Looks Like a Lady),’ but Big E couldn’t come up with the artist’s name. He did, however, recognize it for its use in 1993’s ‘Mrs. Doubtfire.’ This was followed up with Genesis’ ‘Invisible Touch.’ Though he didn’t know the name of the song, Big E had no trouble picking out Phil Collins as the lead vocalist.

After missing entirely on Dire Straits’ ‘Money for Nothing,’ Big E got back on the board with ‘Time After Time.’ Despite knowing who Cyndi Lauper is, he admits that he wouldn’t have guessed the artist correctly. Last up was ‘Stairway to Heaven’ by Led Zeppelin, which Big E was not able to identify.

E was asked if he ever got drunk at a high school kegger and played air guitar to Zeppelin, to which he replied with the following:

“No sir, my dad was an Apostolic Preacher, so that was not happening. He’s Jamaican, too, so, nah.”

On the October 25 episode of WWE Raw, Seth Rollins won a Ladder Match to become the new #1 Contender to Big E’s WWE Championship. At this time, no official date for the title match has been confirmed.
