Bianca Belair Talks IYO SKY Potentially Cashing In At WWE SummerSlam: Hopefully Bayley Messes It Up
Bianca Belair discusses everything she has to be focused on at WWE SummerSlam 2023, including the possibility of IYO SKY cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase.
Bianca Belair, for the first time in a while, is walking into a WWE Premium Live Event not as the defending champion but as a challenger for the WWE Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat Match that will see Asuka defending her gold against not only Bianca but Charlotte Flair as well.
Speaking with WrestlingNewsCo’s Steve Fall, Bianca broke down the action and the possibility that she may also have to contend with Ms. Money in the Bank, IYO SKY, and her Damage CTRL cohort, Bayley.
“There’s a lot going on at the north end this year. It’s one thing to have a match with Charlotte. Everybody knows that’s a dream match of mine. It’s one thing to have a match with Asuka because she’s amazing and dangerous, but now I have to fight them both at the same time,” she said. “If I come out with the victory, then there’s IYO, it’s not just dealing with IYO, Ms. Money in the Bank, she has Bayley with her as well. So it’s like dealing with two other people, and what’s funny is, last year at SummerSlam is when Bayley came back and IYO and Dakota [Kai] debuted, and I’ve been dealing with them for a whole year. A year later, at SummerSlam, somehow, I’m still dealing with them. So yes, it’s a lot to have to deal with and think about.”
Bianca would later say in the interview that she’s hopeful that should IYO SKY decide to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase, Bayley will somehow manage to mess it up for her because she knows that IYO is more than capable of getting the job done on her own.
“Bayley, we have to depend on her to mess it up some type of way, you know? That’s what we’re depending on because we all know that IYO is fully capable of cashing in and being successful.”
