Bianca Belair On Sasha Banks And Naomi’s Walk Out: ‘That’s Their Story To Share’
Bianca Belair wants Sasha Banks and Naomi to tell their story first before she comments publicly.
Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE ahead of Monday Night Raw on Monday, May 16. They were both scheduled to be part of a Six-Pack Challenge which would have seen the winner go on to face Bianca Belair for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship at the Hell in a Cell premium live event.
Ultimately, Sasha and Naomi decided to walk out before the show and have since been indefinitely suspended and stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Bianca Belair is close with both women and even had the honor of making history with Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37. Now, in a new interview with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso ahead of WWE Hell in a Cell, Bianca has stated that she won’t comment on the situation with Sasha and Naomi until they have the opportunity to share their story first.
“I’ve shared some amazing moments with them both, and I’d rather not speak on it,” Belair says. “That’s their story to share, and they should be the first ones to speak on it.”
She will, however, comment on the match that she will take part in. Bianca is scheduled to defend her championship against both Becky Lynch and Asuka and hopes to walk out of Chicago still champion.
“I’m really excited that this gets to be a triple threat,” Belair says. “I’m following Becky Lynch as champion, and those are big shoes to fill so I want the biggest challenges. I get to step back in the ring with Becky after overcoming her at WrestleMania, and I want to do that again at Hell in a Cell. Now you add Asuka; she adds even more excitement. Asuka is one of the best competitors in WWE. I got to have a match with her on Raw last week, and that was a taste of what to expect. The three of us are so different. We’re going to have a dynamic in this match that people aren’t used to seeing.”
