Bianca Belair To Make WrestleMania Decision, Two Tag Bouts Set For 2/26 WWE SmackDown
Bianca Belair will make her choice on Friday’s SmackDown.
WWE announced Bianca Belair will make her decision on who she will challenge for the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania on the February 26 episode of SmackDown. Belair earned the right to challenge any Women’s Champion at WrestleMania by virtue of winning the Women’s Royal Rumble.
Sasha Banks, who Belair teamed with at WWE Elimination Chamber in a loss to WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, is the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion. Asuka holds the Raw Women’s Championship and Io Shirai is the NXT Women’s Champion.
Also announced for SmackDown is The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) against King Corbin & Sami Zayn and a rematch between Rey & Dominik Mysterio against Otis & Chad Gable.
At the 2021 Royal Rumble, Bianca Belair outlasted 29 other Superstars to triumph in the Royal Rumble Match, giving her the opportunity to headline WrestleMania against whichever World Champion she chooses.
With speculation at a fever pitch, will she select SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks on The Grandest Stage of Them All, a Superstar whom she has exchanged words and even teamed with in recent weeks? Might she pull a Charlotte Flair and select NXT Champion Io Shirai? Or does the up-and-coming Superstar think she is ready for Raw Women’s Champion Asuka?

The Street Profits have been clamoring for a rematch against SmackDown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode for several weeks, going so far as to approach WWE Official Sonya Deville about the issue during the live WWE Elimination Chamber Kickoff Show last Sunday.
Tonight, Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford will go head-to-head with Sami Zayn & King Corbin, both of whom just finished battling inside this year’s Elimination Chamber. Can Corbin and Zayn get back on the same page after their experience inside the career-altering structure? Will The Street Profits finally prove they have what it takes to reclaim their tag team gold?

Last week, Chad Gable & Otis got disqualified in their match against Rey & Dominik Mysterio, as they continued their attack after the bell with an earth-shattering splash by Otis off the second rope on The Master of the 619.
In the wake of the matchup, Gable declared in a WWE Network Exclusive video that their actions were, in fact, a victory and that his larger-than-life cohort is finally getting the full extent of his Alpha Academy training.
With the two teams once again squaring off this week and the Mysterios surely out for redemption, will Otis and Gable’s new level of aggression continue?
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.
