Beth Phoenix Will Be First Woman Inducted Into George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame
Some great news for “The Glamazon”.
It was announced today via the @wrestlingmuseum Twitter page that WWE Hall Of Famer and former 4-time WWE Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix will be inducted into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in the Dan Gable Museum. Phoenix is set to be the first woman to receive such honor.
This past July, Owen Hart was inducted and Dan Severn, Booker T, Bruiser Brody, Ben Askren and Koji Miyamoto were honored as well. “The Glamazon” commented on the news when it was first broken on social media:

I am SO humbled and grateful!!! Thank you @wrestlingmuseum for this honor and putting a spotlight on women’s wrestling. I marvel at today’s female athletes and how they inspire all generations (including my two young daughters!) @USAWrestling https://t.co/N8l4u5vYl5

Throughout her career, Beth Phoenix was a part of some spotlighted matches and another big match for women’s wrestling in WWE was recently announced in the form of a SmackDown Women’s Championship bout between Asuka and Becky Lynch at the 2019 Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
