Bella Twins Say They Were Given Three To Five Minutes For WWE Hall Of Fame Speech

The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella) are set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on Tuesday, April 6.

Nikki & Brie were announced as part of the class of 2020, but the induction ceremony was pushed back a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike past years, the Hall of Fame was taped a week ahead and won’t be done in front of a line audience.

Speaking on their Bellas Podcast, Nikki & Brie revealed how long they were given for their speech.

“We had a speech written, but then we realized it was too long because we’re only allowed to do our speech for three to five minutes. We wrote a 15-minute speech because usually, they are like ’10 to 15 minutes,’ then we found out they were like, ‘No, it has to be three to five minutes.’ To do your Hall of Fame speech and take out that much stuff is really hard. We’re wondering like, ‘How do we condense this. What’s important? We want to thank all these people and tell stories,'” said Brie.

Nikki added, “We’ve always been grateful women and that’s where it’s difficult. The majority of our speech is thanking people and they’re like, ‘talk more about yourself.’ We’ve already proven ourselves as Hall of Famers. It’s almost like winning an Oscar. You’re thanking the people who helped you get there.”

Brie went on to say that she was putting pressure on herself when it comes to her speech, but that her husband Daniel Bryan told her, “just have fun.”

The Bella Twins recorded their Hall of Fame induction speech on Tuesday, March 30 at the ThunderDome.

The ceremony will air on Tuesday, April 6 on Peacock. You can find more information on the ceremony by clicking here.
