– Many pro wrestlers reflected on the Royal Rumble on social media.
Yesterday was absolutely magical for me! Competing in the ring with women I have never competed with before and competing against some I have. It was so FUN! Loved having such special moments! Reunion with my Total Divas!! Walking the halls with Barbie like the old days as if we have never missed a beat, having a Team Bella reunion! Sorry Foxy Bad Nikki kicked it in lol Having a moment with the incredible Bianca Belair was such a highlight, as you all know I root hard for her! Brie and I ruining a beautiful Riott Squad reunion… Bad Nikki couldn’t stop ha! And had to give them the L’s one more time! Getting to create magic with my Nattie Girl, my day 1 OG 4 life and the icon herself, Lita! Then hearing Ronda’s music and immediately wanting revenge (and maybe wanting to hide ha) to then having a very short lived amazing tag team moment with the other Nikki, Nikki A.S.H., wow she makes me smile! She may be better off with Brie though lol bc we got our butts kicked but goodness it was fun! And never would I have ever thought that my Brie Mode would have taken my opportunity away from a championship match at WrestleMania! What can I say, Paybacks a Bitch! Lol Good for you Brie! I know you have waited YEARS for that! Birdie though did make sure that she said sorry to Dodo! First thing she said to Brie! Ha love my Bird!! Grateful to be apart of truly inspirational and empowering women! Never stop supporting women’s wrestling! It takes a lot of voices beyond the ring to help us continue to have change and fight for more! To continue to give you moments that 30 women did last night! Seriously, pretty sure you can tell from these photos what an absolute blast I have had working with my ferocious better half @thebethphoenix this past month. Last night at the Royal Rumble was the culmination of something we both never thought would be in the cards and we soaked in every moment of it. To do it with our kiddos old enough to come and sit front row? And the village of friends and family it takes to make all of our work possible sitting with them? Man. I’m a lucky dude.
The truth is, I’ve always struggled very hard to love myself. I spent most of my life feeling too big, not pretty enough, not worthy. The character I portrayed in wrestling was everything I wish I was. The Glamazon was powerful, even though inside, I felt so damn weak. Until I met this man. Who has loved me big and loved me stubbornly even when I couldn’t figure out what he saw in me. After 11 years, I can honestly say that real love, long haul love is different than anything in life. There just isn’t any substitute for time and consistent mutual respect. As I walked out last night, I had the realization that something in me has drastically changed. I don’t feel like “less”. Because love is a mirror…you reflect what you get. When I see this the look on his face, I feel so loved. And I finally feel like I am worthy of it. Thank you @edgeratedr for building this life with me. The best is still ahead of us!
I just had a baby 4 months ago…. Since the day I found out I was pregnant and calculated my due date, I knew I wanted to return to the @wwe at the #royalrumble2022
Two weeks, even two months postpartum that goal seemed crazier than ever before.
But I just missed it so much… and I so badly wanted to give Pō the same example that my mom gave to me and my sisters – she never broke stride following her dreams while having us.
Now it’s my turn.
