Becky Lynch Talks Splitting Four Horsewomen

Becky Lynch said breaking away from the rest of WWE's Four Horsewomen was initially very difficult for her, but she now thinks it was in the best interest of the women's division as a whole.

Lynch addressed this summer's roster draft splitting up the four females during a media scrum held earlier this month while WWE was on its European tour. Planeta Wrestling has posted highlights of the scrum.

Lynch was part of the dubbed "Four Horsewomen" with Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. However, when WWE returned to the brand split in July, Sasha and Charlotte were drafted to Raw while the Irish "Lass Kicker" got shipped to Smackdown. Bayley was still in NXT at the time of the draft and not selected, although she got called up to Raw on a permanent basis the night after Summerslam.

"In the beginning that was really hard, I think Zack (Ryder) might have seen me cry, there was a moment when me and Charlotte were hugging each other 'I'm gonna miss you,' " Lynch said. "It's hard in some ways, but in other ways it's great as well because the girls on Smackdown are amazing. We've got a great division, everybody is really hard working and enthusiastic, has the same goal, we all work together, and I get to see my friends on RAW killing it so that drives up competition. You want to do better than them."

Lynch had a reunion of sorts with her fellow Horsewomen this past Sunday at Survivor Series, as Lynch represented Smackdown while Bayley, Charlotte, and Banks were on the Raw squad for the five-on-five elimination women's match.
