Becky Lynch To Ronda Rousey: “Her Name Got Her The Actual Main Event, My Skill Got Me Match Of The Year”

The war of words between SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey began shortly after WWE’s first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view ‘Evolution’. Ronda Rousey versus Nikki Bella for the RAW Women’s Title followed Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship Last Woman Standing match. From that point forward the two superstars have attempted to destroy one another on social media.
The showdown between Becky and Ronda was locked for the 2018 Survivor Series pay-per-view until the untimely concussion and broken nose that Lynch suffered on the RAW go-home show for Survivor Series. Although the match did not happen, Becky and Ronda are still going tit-for-tat on Twitter and Instagram and prior to their scheduled bout at Survivor Series, Becky sat down with Sky Sports and talked about her match with Charlotte Flair from ‘Evolution’ and stated that the only reason Ronda main-evented that show was because of her name and Becky added that it is because of her skill that she earned herself match of the year.
“Went as good as it possibly could because I won, right? [Becky said of the Last Woman Standing match against Charlotte Flair] And that was the thing. That’s what I say; I get up again, right? That’s me. I just constantly get up again. You can put me through anything. You can give me as much pain or as much damage as you can possibly put me through but I get up again, and I think that’s the difference between me and Ronda Rousey.” Becky said. “Her name got her the actual main event. My skill got me match of the year, and that’s the difference.”
This upcoming Sunday at WWE TLC, Becky will defend her SmackDown Live Women’s Championship in a Triple-Threat TLC match against Charlotte and Asuka. To view the updated lineup for that pay-per-view, click here.
