Becky Lynch Lives The Dream With Lita Feud, NJPW On AXS Ratings, Moose Has No Surrender | Fight Size

Here is your fight size update for Friday, February 18, 2022:

– Becky Lynch discussed her dream match with Lita in a new interview with Yahoo! Sports.

“Lita was my teenage idol,” Lynch told Yahoo Sports. “If you told me back then that in 22 years I would be facing her — as I walked around in my baggy pants with the top of my [underwear] out and my dyed red hair — I would have lost my mind. In my first match I was doing Lita-canranas. To know that I will be facing her for the Raw women’s championship, the same one she presented to us at WrestleMania 32, it’s something unfathomable.”

– Per Brandon Thurston, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, which aired on AXS right after IMPACT at 10 pm on Thursday, was watched by 76,000 viewers, including 23,000 aged 18-49, for a 0.02 demo rating.

– WWE Hall of Famer, JBL, was a guest on The Angle Podcast and spoke about Roman Reigns and how being a heel has changed:

“I think social media has changed it a lot. I think I would’ve dealt differently with social media. These guys are building their brand on social media so I understand the divergence between the character and what they do on social media, but I still think you need a couple of super heels. I call them super heels, it’s very similar to The Governor on The Walking Dead or The Battle of Bastards from Game of Thrones. It’s that one guy that you hate, that has no redeeming qualities whatsoever and I think social media hurts that. Now I understand why they do it, they do it to create a brand and all types of stuff to do outside of the business, but somewhere I think you need someone who stays in character 24/7 and be a heel. It’s really hard to do. Roddy Piper once told me, “you and I are the only 2 heels alive kid” and we weren’t that was kind of him to say, but it’s tough. Back then, a lot guys didn’t want to be a heel. Roman Reigns is a different type of heel. There’s also an attraction heel. DX was the same, they sold a ton of merchandise and they were technically heels, but they were attraction heels. They were kind of cool…”

– Moose Ready To Make A Statement At ‘No Surrender,’ Proud Of Hard Work Paying Off (via Wrestlezone):

“Going into the match, he’s huge as everyone can see. He’s a titan, he’s 7 feet tall,” Moose explained, “and especially in the last few months, he’s shown that he’d a wrecking force. This is a different kind of matchup for me, but because I believe in myself and have confidence in my abilities and I’ll be just fine.”

He adds, “It’s definitely a lot of hard work. I’ve worked my butt off to achieve being the face of the company and to have my face on the poster and to be the guy that’s going on media tours to promote,” he explained. “There’s definitely been a lot of hard work that’s been done in my six years in IMPACT Wrestling and I’m extremely proud of it.”
