Becky Lynch Has Been Working On Her Upcoming Book For ‘Many Years’

Becky Lynch discusses the upcoming release of her book.

Becky Lynch has been working on her upcoming book for many years.

Lynch has been a member of the WWE roster for over a decade now, signing with the company in 2013. In her time in the company, she has crossed paths with many members of the roster in rivalries. She has also been part of some incredibly important moments for WWE’s women’s division, as she was the catalyst for the first ever women’s main event of WrestleMania back in 2019.

Becky’s upcoming autobiography, ‘The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl’ is set for release on March 26th and while speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show, Lynch explained how long she has been working on the book.

“I was (working on a book) and I was working on it for many years. I would go and then I would stop, and then I would start again, and I would stop. It wasn’t kind of a cohesive work stream. I would sit down and for awhile I would get into it, and then I got a proper deadline and that really helped things and changed the game. Within about five weeks, I scrapped the whole thing, re-wrote it, and got to a point that I was very proud of. Now, I’m looking forward to people reading it and telling me what they think of it.”

Lynch was then asked if she hesitated about any parts of the book, with the former RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion noting that she had hesitated about ‘absolutely everything’ in the book.

“Absolutely everything. Especially when you’re talking about other people. Your perspective is your own, you’re always going to be bias, you’re always going to view yourself as the superhero. Sometimes, you’re not. Sometimes, you’re the asshole. I think it’s about being honest. Also, representing that person. When people are reading your book, they’re reading it as if you are the hero of the story, so you have a tendency to maybe want to villainize people. I don’t think that’s fair because they don’t get to defend themselves. I try to be as honest as possible, so when people are assholes, I try to represent them as assholes. When I was the asshole, I definitely represent myself as the asshole.”

‘The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl’ is currently available for pre-sale.

Lynch recently qualified for the women’s Elimination Chamber match at next week’s premium live event, defeating Shayna Baszler on the February 5th edition of Monday Night RAW. You can read more here.

Elsewhere in Lynch’s interview with Fightful, she discussed happy competition between her and Seth Rollins to main event WrestleMania. You can read more here.
