Becky Lynch Discusses How Playing “Maddy Hayes” In ‘The Marine 6’ Has Helped Her On WWE TV
Becky talks “Maddy Hayes”.
The film ‘The Marine 6: Close Quarters’ released on DVD, Blu-ray and on other platforms on November 13th. The James Nunn directed film features the likes of The Miz, WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels and SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Those three aforementioned WWE stars have been making the rounds on the interview circuit over the past few months promoting the release of the film. ‘Fansided’ was one of the outlets that had a chance to chat with “The Man” Becky Lynch who plays “Maddy Hayes” in The Marine. Becky shared that Maddy and herself have some similarities in regards to their attitudes and not necessarily being “bad guys” but more-so marching to the beat of their own drum.
“It might have [helped]. But the other part that’s worked so well is that it’s all very real. The frustration with Becky Lynch is so real, like the frustrations of always working, always being the outgoing and showing a positive attitude and then getting walked over time and time again and finally saying enough is enough. That’s all very real, so I think that’s what resonates with the crowds.” Becky explained. “But of course, having a little bit of training beforehand helps. But the other part of the Maddy Hayes character, for me, you just find parts of it that’s real, which is kind of bizarre, and kill people. But you will go to the means necessary to get what you want sometimes. Yeah, no, obviously not that.”
