Batista Knows He Will Go Into The WWE Hall Of Fame, Has Already Asked Someone To Induct Him
The Animal will be WWE Hall of Fame bound.
Following his loss to Triple H at WrestleMania 35, Batista officially announced his retirement from professional wrestling. Days before his match with Triple H, Batista appeared on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia and was asked about eventually going into the WWE Hall of Fame.
“I’ve already asked someone to induct me. I will go into the Hall of Fame,” stated Batista. “I don’t know if it’ll be next year or the year after, eventually I will. Vince has talked to me about it years back. And the reason I said I wasn’t interested (is) because I didn’t feel like I had closure in my career. When I’m ready to hang up my boots is when I’ll go into the Hall of Fame.”
When asked what going into the Hall of Fame would mean to him, Batista said, “It’s an acknowledgement of the success you’ve had in your career. But to be honest, that formal night (where) people acknowledge it doesn’t mean more to me than the fans in the arena and stadiums acknowledging it right there on the spot. That’s what it’s all about. Entertaining people right there on the spot. That’s the acknowledgement.”
Batista is a former four-time World Heavyweight Champion in WWE and two-time WWE Champion.
