Baron Corbin Returns Alongside JBL On 10/17 WWE Raw

Baron Corbin is back, but he’s not alone.

After disappearing into JBL’s limo on the September 2 edition of WWE SmackDown, Baron Corbin has made his return to WWE alongside Bradshaw Layfield himself. JBL came out first and made his return in style, as he entered the arena in his signature limo that he has used in his entrances for the vast majority of his career.

Layfield would go on to cut an in-ring promo trashing Oklahoma and Rey Mysterio before bringing Corbin to the ring. Layfield went on to note that Corbin would have been a star back in the Attitude Era. Right before Corbin’s bout with Dolph Ziggler started, JBL billed him as ‘The Next Wrestling God’.

Corbin would go on to back up his big return in the ring, as he went on to defeat Dolph Ziggler in lengthy bout.

Corbin hasn’t wrestled under the Baron Corbin moniker since SummerSlam 2021. In September 2019, Corbin won the King Of The Ring tournament, which prompted him to rebrand himself to be known as King Corbin. Most recently, the 38 year old wrestled under the Happy Corbin name, which he adapted in the back half of 2021.

Meanwhile, JBL hasn’t been a regular part of WWE programming since he departed SmackDown’s commentary team in 2017. Since then, Layfield has maintained a presence on WWE’s premium live event kickoff shows.
