Bandido Apologizes For Booking Travis Banks On Big Lucha
Bandido owns up to his mistake.
Bandido and Big Lucha held an event on September 16 from Bandido’s gym. The event aired on YouTube.
Unfortunately, the event was not without controversy as Travis Banks was part of the battle royal. In June 2020 as part of Speaking Out, Millie McKenzie (Emilia McKenzie in NXT UK) accused Banks of damaging her mental health and self-confidence during their secret relationship when she was 17. WWE released Banks following McKenzie’s accusations.
Banks had not wrestled since Riptide The Storm 2020 in March 2020.
Taking to social media, Bandido apologized for his mistake, though he didn’t directly name Banks as part of his apology.
On behalf of Big Lucha & Bandido’s Gym I want to apologize for my mistake yesterday. I don’t want to give any excuses. I am learning the difference between being a wrestler who just plays a small part of an event & being
the person who is responsible for everything that happens— Bandido—- (@bandidowrestler) September 17, 2021
when it’s my show. I accept responsibility & sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended. I promise to do better in the future.–

Ian Riccaboni noted that he did English commentary for the event and the idea is for the show to air on ROH Honor Club and have clips on ROH Week-By-Week.
