Some notes from Corey Brennan from the NXT Vengeance Day show
– Brennan had reported Wade Barrett would be on commentary.
– Throughout the show when The Rock was shown on WrestleMania graphics, the crowd would boo. There were efforts made to cover up this reaction by production.
-During the Dusty Rhodes Classic final, rope tightness was questioned after two scary spots involving Bron Breakker and Carmelo Hayes. It was said all involved in the match came out if it a “little banged up.”
– The NXT Women’s Championship Match was very well received backstage, with praise for all three women involved, especially Lola Vice.
– There was a lot of secrecy surrounding the main event aftermath, as rehearsals for the main event were kept to those who were directly involved in putting it together.
– Ilja Dragonuv was said to be okay after his nasty bump in the main event.
– We asked about the vignette, but did not get any clear answers.
– Shawn Michaels and Matt Bloom were said to have praised the main event. The triple threat was also well received.
