B-Fab Talks WWE Contracts: “It’s Not Very Secure And It’s A Scary Situation To Put Yourself In”
B-Fab was among the more surprising releases made by WWE this year, as WWE released her after just moving Hit Row to WWE SmackDown.
B-Fab was released on November 4, leaving Hit Row (Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis, & Top Dolla) as a three-man group until all three were released on November 18.
During a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, she said that it’s hard to call WWE deals contracts because they can release you whenever they want. Instead, she likes to think of them as agreements. She adds that it’s a risky proposition for talents and questions if it’s even worth it.
“It’s a sad situation because I don’t even know if you can call it a contract because most contracts have to be worked through until they are finished. With them being able to terminate whenever it’s more like an agreement than a contract. If you want to live your life, you can’t put your life on hold for this agreement because they can change it whenever they want. It’s kind of hard to plan what you want to do when you don’t know what’s going to happen day-to-day. It’s not very secure and it’s a scary situation to put yourself in. It’s very difficult to say if it’s even worth it. Now, people are moving from across the country to do this job and you can get cut in six months and you moved your entire life and family over here,” she said.
Elsewhere during the signing B-Fab clarified that she has a 30-day non-compete, but the rest of Hit Row has 90-day clauses.
Top Dolla and Adonis opened up about their release days after the news came out. You can find their comments by clicking here.
