At WWE WrestleMania XL, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in a Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder match. The Raw Tag Team Championship was also on the line, and The Miz and R-Truth captured the titles. On the April 15 episode of WWE Raw, Triple H and Adam Pearce presented The Miz and R-Truth with the new World Tag Team Championship titles.
Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were asked about the new titles.
Austin Theory: I’d say that second place never looked so good
Grayson Waller: Yeah, congrats. Those are the best second-place titles I’ve ever seen. But I do like, it gives it a bit of an old-school vibe. We’re kind of going back to some belts from the past, which I like. I know the blue and the red have been around for a little bit, but I like the classic look. I really like those championships. I wouldn’t want to have them because I don’t want to be second, but hey, good for Truth and Miz. I’m sure you’re really happy with being second.
As of this writing, there is no word on whether Waller and Theory will receive new titles as well.
During the interview, Grayson Waller also claimed that he was better than The Undertaker due to his undefeated record at WrestleMania. Check out his comments here.
