Arn Anderson Feels He Missed Out On Being In Video Games, Is Thrilled To Be In ‘Ultra Pro Wrestling’
Arn Anderson talks about being included as DLC in ‘Ultra Pro Wrestling.’
Arn Anderson officially retired from action in 1997 and as such, was never featured too heavily in wrestling video games. He has been featured as a legend in a few WWE games and was an unlockable character in WCW Nitro, but Arn Anderson still feels like he missed out on being part of video games and that fans missed out on having chances to play as him in the digital squared circle.
Double A will be included as downloadable content in the upcoming Ultra Pro Wrestling video game, the latest spiritual successor to the AKI video games on the Nintendo 64, all of which did not include Arn Anderson.
Speaking about his inclusion on his “ARN” podcast, The Enforcer says he’s thrilled that fans will be able to play as him in a brand new video game and that it’s a big thrill for himself as well.
“Well, it’s another one of those that I missed over the years. I haven’t wrestled in so long. It was just one of those things, the video games are not something that I was a part of. So to me, it’s a big thrill. They sound like they know what they’re doing and they’re excited about it,” he said. “They reached out to the [Arn and Paul Bromwell] and just so that I can make sure the conversation was what I heard, I doubled back to you and it looks like a great opportunity for all wrestling fans to finally have me as a playable character.”
The first ever WWE game to include Arn Anderson was 2009’s WWE Legends of WrestleMania. He was later included as part of the WCW Revival storyline in 2011’s WWE 12.
