Arez is looking to get out of his contract with Major League Wrestling.
On November 8, 2023, Arez took to social media and put out a statement where he once again asked for his release from MLW. In the statement, Arez noted that he was forced to make the issue public, as he is looking for a resolution to this issues that he has with the promotion.
Arez stated that he asked MLW CEO Court Bauer for his release over six months ago, but that request was denied in writing. Arez noted that if he had the resources to challenge this decision in court, he believes the outcome would be in his favor. The current AAA star also said that he is frustrated with the fact that he has not wrestled for the company since June 2022, when he competed in the Battle Riot match.
Arez also brought up the fact that he was never presented a spanish version of his contract with MLW when he signed with the company in 2021. Also, at the time that he signed the deal, Arez did not have a work visa for the United States.
Furthermore, Arez said that he found himself obligated to join the pack of other talent that have recently had similar issues with the company. That group of talent includes Alexander Hammerstone, who requested his release, and the duo of Juicy Finau/Lance Anoa’i, who were released.
