Another Name Advances In The AEW TBS Women’s Championship Tournament
A second quarterfinal matchup has been set.
On the October 27 edition of AEW Dynamite, Hikaru Shida and Serena Deeb faced off in a first-round match in the AEW TBS Women’s Championship Tournament. The winner would move on to face Nyla Rose in the next round.
The two women have been feuding ever since Deeb defeated Shida, preventing her from earning her 50th singles victory. After that match, Serena attacked Shida with the trophy she would have been presented with had she won. Over the past couple of weeks, they have taken to brawling in the backstage area.
During tonight’s broadcast, Shida got her win back, pinning Deeb after a hard-fought battle, finally earning that elusive 50th victory. The Woman of 1000 Holds didn’t take the loss well, attacking Shida to the point where AEW Officials had to come out and pull her away.
