Angelo Dawkins: I’m Happy Just Being Tag Team Champions But Sometimes I Think I Can Win Singles Gold

Angelo Dawkins speaks about future goals for The Street Profits.

Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford have yet to hold the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship since the titles were merged back in 2022. This year, however, Angelo is determined to make sure that he and Montez become Undisputed Tag Team Champions.

Dawkins spoke about this goal while appearing on the 513 Podcast

“Obviously, to go get the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. That’s our goal. We feel like this is the year that we obtain that goal. It’s the year that it comes to fruition. Then after that, we’ve got to see where it takes us after we’ve achieved that goal. We just want to go out there and be the best we can be,” said Dawks.

Addressing Montez’s aspirations to one day be a singles Superstar, Dawkins says he’s more than happy to be Tag Team Champion. Still, sometimes, he finds himself looking at the singles championships and believing that he could also capture one for himself.

“I know [Montez Ford] has wanted to do it since he was a little kid, be a single champion in WWE, the WWE Champion. Me, I’m just happy to be Tag Team Champions as well, but I ain’t going to hold you. Sometimes I do look at those [singles titles], and I’m like, ‘I can win that.'”

Both Street Profits recently acknowledged that, at some point, there does become a need for a shift in character. Read their comments here.
